Small Satellites
SFL designs, builds and operates smallsats to provide cost-effective new ways to conduct a broad range of mission types. These high-performance, affordable smaller satellites, typically between 100-500 kg in mass, can conduct missions related to Earth observation, atmospheric monitoring, ship tracking, communication, radio frequency (RF) geolocation, technology demonstration, space astronomy, solar physics, space plasma, and other scientific research.
The SFL DAUNTLESS bus is a cost-aggressive small satellite for larger payloads up to 300 kg that offers different subclasses: DAUNTLESS, DAUNTLESS-E and DAUNTLESS-EG. The -E refers to ESPA (EELV Secondary Payload Adapter) compatible; -EG, to ESPA-Grande compatible. Although all SFL platforms are designed to be compatible with their specific launch vehicle, compliance with well-known ESPA standards facilitates launch arrangements in many cases.
