Blog – Join SFL at the Virtual SmallSat 2020

The Small Satellite Conference traditionally held in Logan, Utah, will be a virtual event this year. In keeping with the times, the theme will be “Virtually Amazing.” We hope you will join SFL at our virtual trade show booth and two presentations. This year’s SmallSat will be free of charge and held August 1-6 online.
SFL will present a paper on “Guidance, Navigation, and Control for Agile Small Spacecraft with Articulating Solar Arrays” during the (CubeSat) Workshop, Session I: Advanced Concepts I (Session Q&A Webinar, Noon to 1pm MDT, Tuesday August 4). This paper is co-authored by Robert Magner, Niels Roth, Brad Cotton, and Dr. Robert Zee, all from the University of Toronto, UTIAS Space Flight Laboratory. SFL will also present a paper entitled “A Versatile Magnetorquer Design for Microsatellite Constellation Missions” in Session VII: Student Competition (Session Webinar – Student Competition Awards, 10am to 11am MDT, Wednesday August 5). The author of the paper is Philip Hampton, a graduate student at SFL under the supervision of Dr. Robert Zee.

Our virtual booth will be conducted via Zoom sessions. Personnel from SFL will be on hand to answer questions from Noon to 4pm MDT on August 3, 8am to 4 pm MDT on August 4-5, and 8 am to Noon MDT on August 6.
